Emissions
The Company is committed to responsible environmental management. It monitors Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions at its facilities in Bahia, Sergipe, and Rio Grande do Norte, strictly following the concepts and guidelines of the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program and the ISO 14064-1 standard. This effort is part of the Company's ongoing commitment to reducing environmental impacts and promoting sustainable practices that contribute to a greener and more responsible future.
PetroReconcavo is also engaged in the protection of endangered sea turtle species at its Turtle Collection Station, located at its facility in Pirambu (Sergipe), near the Santa Isabel Biological Reserve. This reserve, created to protect endangered species, is one of the largest nesting areas in Brazil, covering 4,100 hectares. The area is officially listed under national environmental protection laws, reinforcing the Company's commitment to biodiversity conservation.
Waste
Most of the waste generated by the Company comes from the activities of operation, maintenance and drilling of new wells. All waste is strictly managed according to the geographical distribution of the production fields, ensuring its traceability. The main sources of impact are in drilling and production activities.
Various preventive measures are carried out, such as recycling and reuse of materials, efficient waste management, and continuous training for our team.
Water and effluent management
Responsible practices are adopted in water management, using sources such as public supply, artesian wells and wastewater treated for reuse.
We prioritize water reuse, especially with reinjection into the reservoir, reducing drinking water consumption. Domestic effluents are treated in appropriate units, following standards of legislation and regulation.
Biodiversity
